Known for her warm personality and joyful spirit, Merrill Mitchell is a Nebraska-born performer and visual artist based in New York City. In May of 2023, she obtained a double major in Vocal Performance Studies and Musical Theater from Nebraska Wesleyan University, with a minor in Modern Languages. She is an alumni and intern of the Kristin Chenoweth Broadway Bootcamp, where she began working with many of her mentors, including Broadway’s Faith Prince, American Idol’s Michael Orland, and her revered voice teacher; Broadway Alliance’s Celeste Magnone-Simone. In 2017, she was invited by Ms. Chenoweth to share the stage in a duet at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, and has been pursuing theater professionally since. As a classically trained soprano, Merrill has experience performing in the United States, Spain, and Austria as a performer and vocalist. She values authenticity, kindness, and a true spirit of hard work. She is represented by LAU Talent. In her free time, she enjoys painting, teaching pottery, animal rescue, and spending time with her kitty Pemma, whom she took home from a parking lot during a Summerstock contract.
